Locomotive 'Serón' (130-2133) built by Kitson in 1894, in Baza Station collecting mail on the Murcia - Alicante route, 1961. Note chimneys on the station building, no longer in existence. In fact, when it was built, there were only two chimneys. The layout of the station building has had many changes over the years. | See map.
This photograph was taken on or around 16th December 1894 during the inauguration of Baza Station (and hence the termination of the GSSR's construction). Of the coaches, only two survive. The loco is one of the twelve first Moguls that were delivered from the UK in 1890. | See map.
Construction work in Baza Station, probably taken around 1894. The wagons were loaded with ballast suggesting that track laying was still in progress. | See map.
