Tíjola water pump

Water quality was one of the biggest problems for The GSSR with lime causing many breakdowns. Eventually The GSSR found a source of underground melt-water on public land and on the 24th August 1911 the pump was opened. This is the pump house that supplied pure water right down to Zurgena Station.
