THE MID-WAY STATION - EL ÁNGULO

The Ángulo was a building that controlled the cable from Las Menas to Los Canos. It had two different braking systems, one air of 150 horsepower and one automatic oil system with water pressure capable of 35 horsepower (the cable dropped 740 metres from Las Menas to Los Canos), as well as allowing the cable to change direction (hence the 'Ángulo'). The cable had no motor - it worked purely by gravity.
