4.23Km. Interesting section of track through beautiful countryside, with a large bridge and lots of culverts.
Site of a terrible accident at Km 43.100 on 8th October 1929. A goods train was being shunted in Huércal-Overa Station and 13 wagons became detached and rolled down the steep incline towards Almajalejo. Unfortunately, there was a mineral train heading towards Huércal Overa and the 13 wagons crashed into the front of the mineral train at speed. One man died and the accident cost The GSSR half a million pesetas.
