11.00Km. Immediately after leaving Guadix Station one finds oneself in the remote and spectacularly beautiful Spanish countryside with views over Guadix to the Sierra Nevada mountains. The track passes steeply (1 in 14) through what must have been one of the hardest sections to build with huge cuttings, embankments, culverts, but only one large bridge. This section, which is in poor condition, is well worth a visit if only to see the bridge over Rambla del Grado (or Grao, there is some confusion over the correct name).
Actually part of The Granada Railway but originally intended for The GSSR. See History.
