Cuevas Negras Mines

Cuevas Negras mines were owned by W.H Müller but leased to Companía Mines et Chemin de Fer Bacarès - Alméria and were known as 'Las Menas'. The iron ore was carried down to the loader at Km94.377 near to Tíjola Station. The mine functioned until 1909 after which the cable was sold in 1910 to the Grasset Hermanos company who used it to carry ore from Gran Coloso.
