The town of Bacares. The area around the town was the first where industrialized iron ore mining started in the Los Filabres mountains. There were many aerial cables from the mines down to the loaders at Serón, Los Canos and Tíjola for loading onto trains bound for El Hornillo.
Today, the village is seriously depopulated with approximately 250 souls.
